Due to the unforseen volcanic eruption, we are faced with no other option than to cancel the trip this weekend.
Stephan tells me they had prepared cake, the local tv station was dropping down (it’s a sleepy town…) and I had prepared t-shirts with a nice logo on them, not to mention that everybody will have to cancel flights and hotels. We are all disappointed I know.
James has suggested that everybody in Ireland, instead, meets up at the Leinster Chess Championships. It starts at 7pm tonight and continues for the weekend in the Academy Hotel just off O’Connell St.
