The Belgium 2010 trip organised for last April fell victim to the Icelandic volcano. I know that everybody was very disappointed, but we vowed to reorganise it for another date.
The Opwijk club and Stephan have proposed a new date of Saturday, September 18th, 2010. That means, as before, flying out on a Friday morning and coming back on Sunday evening (although members are free to fly later on Friday should they wish, and stay as long as they like!).
Aer Lingus do very good deals to Brussels and the flights will cost around 100 euros, all taxes and charges included.

We’ll stay again in the Centrum Hotel in Ghent. This is very reasonable (I think around 75 euros per night, but I cannot be sure…)
Pictures of the club we are visting are here – as you can see, the facilities are superb! Stephan went to a great deal of trouble organising the original trip and I am sure it will be as good this time.
The rough plan, again, is to stay in Ghent, a most beautiful town. Friday is for sight-seeing, shopping, and a meal out. Saturday we will play against Opwijk (travel is very easy on the trains), followed by a brewery visit. Sunday we plan to visit Bruges, a world-heritage city and well-worth a trip. (The original post is here.) As a special bonus, I have free t-shirts for everybody travelling!!
Before booking anything, I need to know the numbers of people interested. Please respond in one of three ways – either text me on 086 3419437, or email me on firstname.lastname@example.org, or leave a comment on this posting. If we do not get a minimum of six members, then we probably would need to reconsider the trip. Deadline to let me know is the end of July! I will then post on the website whether we are going or not. And remember, the trip is not reserved for people who booked the original trip – anybody can go. And if you have friends interested, they can come too, it is very much an informal and relaxed trip.
