The ICU have announced the junior teams for this year’s Glorney Cup competitions, which will take place in Daventry, England, from the 17th to 20th July.
Rathmines Chess Club are delighted to see that 5 our junior players have been selected for these teams.
Scott Mulligan has been selected on the U-18 Glorney Cup team alongside Tom O Gorman, Luke Scott, Ross Beatty and former Rathmines player Henry Li.
Mustakim Ul Haque and Sean Hunter have both been selected for the u14 Robinson Cup team, joining Alex Byrne, Josh Redmond, Gavin Melaugh and Denis Ruchko .
Muhtarim Ul Haque and Utkarsh Gupta have been selected for the U12 Stokes cup team, alongside Danny Dwyer, James Naughton, David Remenyik and Adam Murphy.
The Gilbert U18 ladies team will consist of Alice O Gorman, Mercedes Plaza Reino and Anastasija Manojlovic.
This year’s event will feature 2 English teams, as well as one team each from France, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
