    Hi Ken –
I wouldn’t recommend our club for an eleven year old. Rathmines do accept players at all levels, but actually consists primarily of adult players. We have had young players in the past, so you’d be welcome to attend.
Best places for juniors are clubs like Gonzaga or St Benildus.
A good place to start is to look up http://www.icu.ie/juniors/index.php – the Irish chess union can suggest a good club.

We’re always eager to recruit new members! You can drop down on any club night to play some games. You don’t have to join immediately. Try it for a few weeks no strings attached. We’re open Monday and Thursday evenings 7:30 – 11:00.

    Hi, Daniel from Bodytonic here

Just writing to inform you that there will be a simul happening this Sunday from 4-7 with Chess Master Johnathan O’Connor in the Twisted Pepper Middle Abbey St. as part of our Rumbullion rum festival. He will be playing 20 people at once and there’s a great prize if you can beat him. If anyone is interested you can find out more information and sign up to play him here: http://tiny.cc/chessimul
